Frequently asked questions

What is the Project Adapt Summit on Human Performance about?

The Summit is a 2-3 day professional/personal development experience focused on the intersection of health, performance and consumerism.  The Summit focuses on 5 pillars of human performance: Eating, Thinking, Moving, Regenerating and Technology.  The Summit is designed to merge long-standing and time-tested principles of health with the latest that science, technology and regeneration has to offer and how modern tools can accelerate this merger in order to achieve greater performance.

Are there Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) provided through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)?

Project Adapt has applied for official ACSM Approved Provider status through The American College of Sports Medicine which enables us to provide ACSM Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) for the Intensive and Summit.   We fully expect to be granted official ACSM Approved Provider status and plan to issue 19 CEC’s for the combination of the Intensive on Plant-Based Performance and The Summit on Human Performance, Fall 2023.

Why Eating, Moving, Thinking, and Regenerating?

Eating, moving, thinking are first principles of human performance. Regenerating is a modern principle which produces faster recovery, vitality, and longevity. Interestingly, all human performance gains occur during recovery and regeneration.

The last decade has seen tremendous advances in modern applied science, innovation, and technology which expands the horizon of what works best for human performance.

Finally, more is not always better. Our world needs us to adapt in a sensible and smart way to win well and be better together.

What do you mean by human performance?

Human performance means a better result across any and all aspects of our lives. Human performance are improvements (of any size) along a spectrum of increasing states of capacity from: poor, broken, healing, healthy, durable, fit, to peak states.

One of the finest examples physiological performance (in a peak state) is a great pregnancy. Human performance is optimizing a healing response, better circulation for a diabetic, or greater recovery for athletes. Human performance means maximizing and sustaining energy output, greater vascular capacity, and epigenetics. It means resilience, growth, empathy, insight, discovery, and better habits. It looks like a joy found in effort, being better together, leadership, and on and on. It infers challenge and adaptation. Finally, technology is an adaptive tool that can accelerate, elevate, and amplify all these pursuits.

We aspire to adapt when we find a better way for our body, mind, spirit, and relationships. Our 2023 SUMMIT targets the fundamentals that drive physical and mental performance for anyone. For example, specific things that produce greater recovery for athletes are the same things that drive better outcomes for patients or more capacity in you.

In its highest form, human performance is manifesting your best for the world.

What’s in it for you?

We will challenge you. We grow through what we go through. Deeper level results demand deeper digging.

Experience our health and performance practitioners, athletes, and tech innovators. They will expand your understanding and ability to execute.

You will be compelled to adapt your eating, moving, thinking, and regenerating. All of which can be enhanced by smart tech. Finally, we will challenge your best to be bound by a higher purpose.

What about Covid 19?

We look forward to conducting the 2023 Summit on Human Performance in the same fashion we have conducted events in the past. At this point, we have no plans to implement any COVID related restrictions in order to attend the Summit, but we encourage people to take measures that they deem appropriate for them.
